It has also been good to get out and about and speak directly to residents, now that the Covid restrictions have been removed. I was recently canvassing in Hanging Heaton and Earlsheaton in Dewsbury, listening to residents and also did my bit with my Office Manager, Adam Gregg, by nipping down to Birmingham to help in the Erdington by election.
The campaigning that we did in Earlsheaton was one where we were joined by colleagues from the central party who have been recently recruited and are undergoing training as Campaign Managers, to help support here in the North during the coming Local Elections, working out of the new Leeds office.
I’ve also visited the new Conservative Party Office, which is now open at 10 Wellington Place, near Leeds central station. I am sure having part of the central party just one stop away from Dewsbury by train will be really helpful in the next couple of years and my team and I are looking forward to working closely with them.
