You may have seen that last Autumn I held a Jobs and apprenticeship Fair for people who were looking to start or advance their careers across at Pioneer House in Dewsbury and this is something that will be an annual event.
But it is not only those looking to start or enhance their careers that I want to focus on and I am looking to also help those who have reached retirement or who are currently planning for it and so will be holding my first Older Persons' Advice and Information Fair on Friday 11th March 2022, between 10 am and 2 pm at the Denby Dale Pie Hall, in Denby Dale.
The Fair is free to attend and aims to raise awareness of the range of services and advice available in our borough to help people plan and make the most of their retirement. If you're retired, know someone heading to retirement or want to know more about what is available in our local area, please do come along and feel free to bring your family and friends.
We already have over 25 exhibitors confirmed for the day, including Age UK, DWP, West Yorkshire Police, Kirklees Council, Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, and many more, including local groups and societies.
