I have had a number of meetings now in my role as the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Pakistan including meeting with the Pakistani Ambassador and also recently with the Pakistani Consular General in Manchester and several with local businesses here in the constituency to support their plans for exporting. I also recently discussed the opportunities for the University sector in supporting students from the sub-continent with the Vice Chancellor at Huddersfield University. I am shortly travelling to Pakistan with several local businesses to facilitate meetings about increasing the trade between our two countries as part of the push for global trade post Brexit.
